The Ministry of Health requires that J.S.N.A. request that prospective students have five years experience as a registered nurse prior to entry in the programme. This experience should include training as a certified midwife, skills for observation and monitoring (these can be obtained in the ICU and the Accident and Emergency Department). Admission to the programme is very competitive (intake is every two years and the number of space available is limited).

Submit an application for admission through Regional Health Authority, through Director of Nursing Services
  • Submit $500 (U.S.$20) non-refundable application fee
  • Submit transcript from school of nursing
  • Submit General Nursing Council Registration
  • Submit two recommendations (one from Director of Nursing Services and one from immediate supervisor)
  • Submit a complete health questionnaire
  • Submit current resume
  • Letter of commitment from sponsors (overseas students)

Local students are sponsored by their institution

Tuition cost for the programme is U.S.$12,500 (overseas students)

Indirect costs not included in tuition, include the cost of books, travel and living costs during clinicals, health insurance and internet connection
